On August 18, Riverdale Living was joined by residents and their family members, as well as provincial and municipal partners, to announce the start of construction of two new long-term care homes in Leamington and Belle River. The new homes will feature modern building design and technology, and further our commitment to supporting residents and their families as they fulfill their unique care journeys.
Riverdale Living is proud to see that so many people are committed to these projects’ success, and we’re grateful for the support and assistance received from the mayors, councillors, and CAO’s in Leamington and Belle River, as well as former Minister of Long-Term Care Paul Calandra, and MPPs Anthony Leardi and Trevor Jones.
Lakeshore
Riverdale Living will be constructing a brand-new long-term care home in Belle River, which will eventually replace the Tilbury Manor LTC. The new home will have 75 redeveloped beds and 85 new beds and construction is expected to be completed in late 2025.
Leamington
In Leamington, Riverdale Living will redevelop the Franklin Gardens Long-Term Care Home and construct a new building beside the current facility. The redeveloped home will create 40 new and 120 upgraded beds. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026.
Supporting Communities
With a projected increase in the need for long-term care spaces, Riverdale Living is committed to creating thoughtful, comforting, and engaging space for residents that are operationally efficient and functionally flexible. The new design will foster a state-of-the-art community with a strong indoor-outdoor connection to the surrounding site.
Riverdale Living is committed to supporting all the residents, families, staff, and the broader community with world-class care.
